WHAT ARE MY THERAPY OPTIONS?

Early Intervention

Early Intervention is a program funded by the state that treats children from birth up to their 3rd birthday. In order to qualify for Early Intervention services, a child must be evaluated by the Early Intervention therapy team. It needs to be determined that they have a developmental delay in one or more areas of development, or be diagnosed with a condition with a high probability of developmental delay. Services take place in your home or the child’s daycare setting.

WHAT ARE MY THERAPY OPTIONS?

Public School District

Public School Districts have therapy teams made up of Speech, Occupational and Physical Therapists, as well as Social Workers and School Psychologists.

To receive services through a public school district, you need to first call your local district and sign your child up for a screening.  Public School Districts have therapy teams made up of Speech, Occupational and Physical Therapists, as well as Social Workers and School Psychologists. After the screening, the district team will determine if an evaluation is recommended or not.

Private Practice

Private Practice

Individuals who wish to receive services through a private entity do not need to meet any specific criteria regarding severity as they do with Early Intervention or Public School District services. Most insurance carriers will cover a portion of services received through the private sector, and here at Mobile Therapy Centers (MTC), our office staff will contact the insurance carrier for the family to find out coverage information. Services are received in the office during the week or on the weekends through most private practices.

MTC provides services at our clinics (located in Libertyville and Crystal Lake, IL and in Franklin and Clarksville, TN ), at your home, as well as in daycare and private school settings during the school day.
