Special Olympics Inclusion Day

Special Olympics Inclusion Day
Special Olympics Inclusion Day

Did you know that this is the 50th Anniversary of Special Olympics? To top it all off it is being held this year in Chicago and we are so excited. Special Olympics is July 17 through July 21 and it is going to be a week packed with fun-filled events!

Mobile Therapy Centers is thrilled to be a part of the Special Olympics Global Day of Inclusion on July 21st, and we would love if you came and celebrated with us. You can find our booth at the vendor fair at Soldier Field from 1pm-7pm. We will have lots of information available, as well as a craft and carnival game, so don’t forget to stop by and see us!

If you can’t make it down to the city that week, you can celebrate the Global Day of Inclusion by hosting a family or neighborhood sporting event with all abilities welcome. Make an opportunity to get together, play, and have fun with one another.

Elaina Pagliarulo AACOTA/L, AAT Handler

Elaina is a part of our MTC Occupational Therapy Department and received an education from the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse, McHenry County College, and Husson University. She has a strong passion for working with both animals and children. Elaina has always wanted to incorporate both of these passions into her career and is incredibly excited to bring Animal-Assisted Therapy (AAT) to Mobile Therapy Centers!

MTC's Therapy Dog: Rocky

Rocky is an Australian Mountain Doodle who loves to learn, play, and meet new people. Rocky joined our MTC team when he was just 8 weeks old and has been training to support the clients of MTC from day one. His kind and loving nature makes him the perfect match for Animal-Assisted Therapy, and Rocky can not wait to meet all his new friends through the MTC AAT program!
