Mobile Therapy Centers (MTC) is a Multidisciplinary Clinic

Many people find it convenient and beneficial when therapy clinics incorporate ALL disciplines into their practice. As a working parent, or families with multiple kids, it is helpful and appreciated when you can take your child to ONE location where all therapy sessions take place. While you don’t have to worry about coordinating schedules for ABA, Speech, Occupational, Behavioral, Feeding and Counseling, you also have comfort knowing all of your child’s therapists collaborate and incorporate each other’s objectives.

Mobile Therapy Centers (MTC) is a Multidisciplinary Clinic

Mobile Therapy Centers (MTC) is one of those clinics that incorporate ALL disciplines including  ABA Therapy, Speech Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Behavioral Therapy, Feeding Therapy and Counseling. The teams bring together the expertise and skills of different professionals to assess, plan and manage care jointly, and provide an overall great experience for our clients and families.

All therapists at MTC, no matter what department, are all one big team and collaborate when more than one of them is seeing the same client.

This collaboration allows our Speech Therapists to incorporate the fine motor goals/cueing from the Occupational Therapist into their speech sessions to help increase the rate of progress for that client. This also allows us to problem-solve various behaviors our client’s may be exhibiting.

An example of this may be a child who is exhibiting multiple behaviors in the classroom setting. This client’s team of Behavioral and Speech Therapists can discuss when the behaviors are occurring, outcomes and appropriate communication options for this child to convey their wants/needs, and ideas without various situations leading to behaviors.

Another example of this could be a child in our clinic who is with our Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA) team and the ABA Therapist notices behaviors have increased and looks back at their data and finds out the behaviors are directly related to the child’s lack of communication. The ABA Therapist reaches out to the team to update on the behaviors, shares the data and discusses their goals for ABA to decrease the behaviors and requests suggestions from the team regarding appropriate communication interventions they can incorporate to help decrease the behaviors.

By communicating goals and objectives with the other disciplines, we can help create well-rounded intervention protocols for our clients, which in turn results in faster progress.
