Mobile Therapy Centers Core Values: Collaboration, Integrity & Respect

At Mobile Therapy Centers (MTC) our core values are collaboration, integrity and respect. These values are consistently woven into our everyday work with each other at MTC, but are also an integral part of working within the community. Mobile Therapy Centers values the development of high-quality relationships with community partners including childcares/daycares and schools. Partnerships provide childcares/daycares and schools with access to free on-site developmental screenings, on-site evaluations and therapy (including Speech Language Therapy, Occupational Therapy, and Behavioral Therapy), staff education, and family education.

Our core values push us to work together with partners to foster a culture of transparency and trust between MTC Speech Language Pathologists, Occupational Therapists, and Behavioral Therapists, center directors, and families. They help to guide our decisions and actions, pushing us to strive for excellence and allowing us to work toward our shared goal of helping children. Working together allows us to foster a more inclusive learning environment, promoting children’s academic and social growth, and ensuring progress in various skill areas.

In working with center directors and teachers, we are able to ensure a holistic view of the child, provide services on-site where the child is already comfortable, and keep staff informed of goals and progress to help with carry-over of skills across contexts. Through consistent communication we are able to ensure that if concerns are noted, parents have someone to consult with regarding their questions or concerns, have access to convenient evaluations and services, and can be assured that goals are appropriate based on day-to-day observations provided by teaching staff. We are able to ensure that childcare staff feel supported through continuing education related to child development norms, providing suggestions and strategies for continued child growth within the classroom, and through collaboration in communication with parents.

Collaboration with centers ensures that children have access to Speech Language Therapy, Occupational Therapy, and/or Behavioral Therapy within their typical day without the need for a parent to bring the child to another site. Use of an online parent portal allows parents to read session notes written by the therapist, so they are always informed about how sessions went, what was worked on, and any homework that can be practiced. Parents and staff are encouraged to set up calls or meetings with MTC therapists at any time to maintain positive relationships and ensure that everyone is an active member of the team.
